Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough of low pressure developing over the Kimberley and Pilbara is
expected to deepen over the weekend and extend to the Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm high pressure ridge extends along the south coast. A weak west coast
trough will form today, and will then move inland and deepen gradually later in
the weekend. The ridge will shift eastwards over the weekend, ahead of a weak
cold front brushing past the south coast on Monday. A new ridge of high
pressure will extend along the southwest coast on Monday night.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 20 September
Light showers south of a line Harvey to Israelite Bay and along the Eucla
coast. Showers or thunderstorms over the Kimberley, adjacent North Interior and
northern Pilbara, mainly during the afternoon and evening. Possible morning
frosts over inland southern parts of the South West Land Division, far southern
Goldfields and Eucla. Smoke haze possible over the Lower West and South West
districts.

Forecast for Saturday 21 September
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne and
northern Goldfields. Isolated heavy falls possible across inland Kimberley and
the Pilbara. Light showers or drizzle over the south coastal districts. Chance
of morning fog and frost over southern parts of the South West Land Division,
far southern Goldfields and Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 22 September
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne,
northern parts of Central West and northern Goldfields. Isolated heavy falls
possible across inland Kimberley, inland Pilbara and Interior. Light showers
about the southwest coast. Chance of morning fog over South East Coastal and
Eucla districts.

Forecast for Monday 23 September
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne,
Goldfields and Eucla. Isolated heavy falls possible across inland Kimberley and
the Interior. Light showers possible over the South West Land Division. Chance
of morning fog over southern parts of the South West Land Division.
