Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the Pilbara into the inland Kimberley and North Interior.
A ridge developing over central WA will push southeasterly winds into the
Pilbara, forcing the trough closer to the coast. The trough will start to move
northward through the Kimberley on Sunday and Monday with the trough moving
into the inland Pilbara during Monday afternoon.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front over southern WA will contract eastward into the Bight during
today. A trough will brush the southwest coast early morning. A high pressure
ridge is strengthening over the central part of the State and will gradually
settle southward during the weekend. A trough will deepen inland from the west
coast on Monday before pushing further east on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 6 September
Showers south and west of a line from Jurien Bay to Israelite Bay, most likely
about the southwest corner. Showers and the chance of morning and early
afternoon thunderstorm gradually contracting out of the eastern Eucla and
southern South Interior. Possible frost in the morning over the far southern
Gascoyne, Central Wheat Belt and northern Great Southern, as well as the far
western Goldfields. Possible early fog in the far northern Kimberley, then the
slight chance of an afternoon shower. Windy in the morning through the
Interior, Pilbara and northern Gascoyne. Surf conditions will be hazardous for
coastal activities between Cape Naturaliste and Albany.

Forecast for Saturday 7 September
Light showers south of a line from Dongara to Bremer Bay. Isolated afternoon
showers about the far northern Kimberley. Chance of morning fog over inland
South West Land Division and northwest Kimberley. Chance of morning frost over
the far eastern Wheat Belt, western Goldfields and inland Eucla. Fresh and
gusty winds in the morning through the Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, southern
Pilbara and northern South Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 8 September
Light showers possible south of a line Mandurah to Balladonia. Isolated
afternoon showers about the northwest Kimberley coast. Areas of fog in the
morning through Great Southern, southwestern Wheat Belt, far southern
Goldfields, and inland parts of the Lower West, South West, South Coastal, and
South East Coastal District. Fresh and gusty winds in the morning over central
WA and extending into the Pilbara and southwestern Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 9 September
Possible morning fog over inland southern parts and in the far northern
Kimberley. Possible afternoon and evening showers over the inland Gascoyne,
northern and eastern Wheat Belt, Goldfields and western South Interior, and in
the far northern Kimberley. Possible light showers south of a line from
Busselton to Hopetoun.
