Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies near the Pilbara coast and will extend eastward into the inland
Kimberley and North Interior during the weekend. A high pressure ridge will
begin to strengthen into the North Interior and inland Pilbara. The trough will
deepen down the west coast on Sunday night and Monday before moving towards the
southeast on Tuesday as the ridge over the inland Pilbara weakens.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge extends across the west coast and through central parts of the State
while a fresh west to southwesterly flow is over the south coastal districts
and Southern Ocean. The ridge will gradually move eastward and also broaden to
the south, settling the winds over southern WA by late Sunday. On Monday the
high will move across South Australia as a trough deepens down the west coast.
The trough will move inland during Tuesday as a cold front reaches the South
West of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 31 August
Light showers or drizzle over much of the South West Land Division bar the
northern Central West, northern Central Wheat Belt and inland parts of the
