Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over southern Pilbara and Gascoyne will move east over the next couple
of days. A weak trough will develop over western Pilbara later today ahead of
the next series of cold fronts over southwest WA, allowing a broad warmer
northeast to northwest flow to develop over northern districts this week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A moist southwesterly flow across southern parts of the state is easing as a
high pressure ridge extends over southern WA. A weak front will brush past the
southwest coast today, followed by a fast moving high pressure system on
Wednesday. A stronger cold front will move across the west coast on Thursday,
maintaining a moist westerly flow across southwest WA this week.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 20 August
Light showers about the south coast and west coast, extending to much of the
South West Land Division during the day. Chance of drizzle persisting over the
southern Goldfields, inland parts of South East Coastal and adjacent Great
Southern, especially in the morning. Showers clearing about the Eucla coast
during the day. Morning fog possible over northern and central parts of the
South West Land Division, and adjacent Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 21 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, adjacent southern Gascoyne, southern
Goldfields and Eucla. Morning fog possible over northern and eastern parts of
the South West Land Division, and adjacent Gascoyne.

Forecast for Thursday 22 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern and western Gascoyne,
Goldfields, far southern parts of the Interior and Eucla. Showers more frequent
about the Lower West and South West districts. Chance of a gusty thunderstorm
about the southwest coast. Morning fog possible over northern and eastern parts
of the South West Land Division, and southern Goldfields. Windy at times during
the day over central and southern parts of the state.

Forecast for Friday 23 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla. Chance
of a gusty thunderstorm about the coast between Perth and Walpole. Windy over
southern parts of the state.
