Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extending into northern parts of the State will produce
fresh and gusty bursts of east to southeasterly wind through the weekend. Winds
will ease early next week as the ridge over northern WA starts to break down.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure system will move eastward across Tasmania during the
weekend, with its associated ridging starting to weaken over WA. A cold front
will approach the west coast later today, crossing the coast early on Sunday
before continuing eastward through southern WA during the afternoon and
evening. A weak high pressure system will quickly pass through the State on
Monday, followed by the next cold front reaching the southwest corner during
Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 6 July
Chance of morning fog and over the southern and eastern South West Land
Division, Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior. Fresh and gusty winds in the
morning over the Pilbara and west Kimberley. Winds freshening about the west
coast with showers increasing in the late afternoon and evening, and extending
into the South Coastal District, Great Southern and Central Wheat Belt by late
evening.

Forecast for Sunday 7 July
Showers southwest of Exmouth to Eyre, most widespread about southern and
western parts in the South West Land Division. Showers easing about the west
coast during the afternoon and evening. Chance of thunderstorms about coastal
parts between Mandurah and Denmark. Possible damaging winds early in the
morning about coastal parts south of Mandurah. Areas of frost in the morning in
the South Interior. Abnormally high tides about coastal parts between Kalbarri
to Augusta.

Forecast for Monday 8 July
Possible morning fog over the inland South West Land Division, western Gascoyne
and southwestern Goldfields. Chance of showers, mainly light, west of a line
from Exmouth Meekatharra to Kalgoorlie to Albany.

Forecast for Tuesday 9 July
Showers increasing about much of the South West Land Division. Possible
moderate falls in the southwest corner. Scattered showers elsewhere to the
south and west of a line from Exmouth to Meekatharra to the southern South
Interior. Chance of thunderstorms about coastal parts between Bunbury and Windy
Harbour. Possible morning fog in the Eucla.
