Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A cloud band extends across the Pilbara through the Interior and is slowly
moving east and weakening today. A strengthening ridge across southern WA will
direct fresh and gusty south easterly winds across the Pilbara and Kimberley
until Friday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system will move over the south of the State during the next
few days. The next cold front is forecast to move over the southwest of the
State on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 20 June
Light showers over the central Interior and near the south coast. Areas of
morning fog through inland southern and central parts of the South West Land
Division and adjacent southern Goldfields. Windy through central and northwest
WA.
Forecast for Friday 21 June
Showers developing near the west coast in the evening. Chance of a shower about
the Eucla coast. Areas of morning fog through eastern parts of the South East
Coastal, Eucla, adjacent South Interior and southeast Goldfields districts.
Windy in the morning through northern WA and becoming windy in southwestern
parts of the State.
Forecast for Saturday 22 June
Showers extending over the southwest of the State, to be west of a line Exmouth
to Laverton to Eucla by evening. Chance of a thunderstorm over coastal areas
between Jurien Bay and Albany. Windy over southern WA.
Forecast for Sunday 23 June
Showers south of a line from about Coral Bay to Warburton. Chance of a
thunderstorm along the south coast west of Israelite Bay.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
