Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure will dominate over central parts of the State,
directing an east to southeasterly flow over northern parts of WA. The high
pressure ridge will weaken and moving east on Friday, causing winds to ease.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure over central WA is weakening and will be followed by
an active cold front this afternoon. The cold front will move through the
southwest in the afternoon and evening, before weakening inland on Friday. From
Friday, a cloud band will develop across the Central West and deepen across the
South West Land Division on the weekend, followed by a stronger cold front
approaching the southwest later Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 6 June
Showers southwest of a line Bunbury to Windy Harbour, extending eastwards
during the afternoon to reach a line Kalbarri to Esperance by the evening.
Showers increasing to rain south of Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay. Possible heavy
falls and the chance of thunderstorms, possibly gusty, southwest of Jurien Bay
to Albany. Windy about the Lower West and South West. The chance of morning fog
over the eastern Eucla, southeast South Interior, and the western Gascoyne.

Forecast for Friday 7 June
Showers southwest of a line from about Denham to Eucla, mostly retracting to
the north and east by the afternoon. Heavy falls possible over the Central West
in the morning. The chance of morning fog over the western Gascoyne. The chance
of morning frost about the northeastern Gascoyne and the South Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 8 June
Showers southwest of a line from Carnarvon to Eucla, most likely later in the
day. Heavy falls possible about the Central West, northern Lower West, and
western Central Wheat Belt Districts in the afternoon and evening. Chance of a
thunderstorm southwest of a line from Lancelin to Windy Harbour later in the
day.

Forecast for Sunday 9 June
Showers southwest of a line from Denham to Eyre in the morning, extending
eastwards to reach a line from Exmouth to Eucla by evening. Heavy falls
possible about the Central West, northeastern Lower West, Central Wheat Belt,
and northern Great Southern Districts. Chance of a thunderstorm southwest of
Bunbury to Albany.
