Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge to the southeast is weakening with a broad trough developing over the
Pilbara and Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system lies to the south of the State with a surface trough
just offshore from the west coast. The high will gradually move east with the
trough moving closer to the coast during today.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 13 May
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the western Gascoyne and northern Central
West district, with moderate to heavy falls possible with thunderstorms south
of Denham and north of about Geraldton. Showers and possible thunderstorms
extending into the central Gascoyne during the afternoon and evening. Possible
shower also over the far west Pilbara. Chance of an early morning thunderstorm
over the eastern South Coastal district and adjacent southeast Great Southern
District.

Forecast for Tuesday 14 May
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the west Pilbara, Gascoyne, far west South
Interior, far northern Goldfields, Central West district and adjacent northern
Central Wheat Belt. Chance of morning fog over the South West district.

Forecast for Wednesday 15 May
Showers and thunderstorms over the central and eastern Gascoyne, adjacent
southern Pilbara, western South Interior, and northern Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 16 May
Showers and thunderstorms over the northeast Gascoyne, western South Interior,
and northern Goldfields. Chance of morning fog about southern coastal districts
of the South West Land Division, western Eucla and adjacent southeast
Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
