Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge strengthens over the State and directs moderate to fresh east to
southeasterly winds over the area.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge and high pressure system lies to the southeast of the State while a
deep trough lies off the west coast. A moderate cold front will cross the
southwest corner later today. A new ridge and high pressure system moves south
of the State over the weekend with a new trough to develop offshore.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 10 May
Windy with widespread showers, gusty thunderstorms and moderate to possibly
heavy falls, southwest of Perth to Collie to Windy Harbour. Showers and
possible thunderstorms, with lighter falls expected, over remaining west
coastal parts of the South West Land Division, extending to southwest of a line
from Kalbarri to Esperance during the day. Mostly sunny over the remainder of
the state. Windy, mostly in the morning, over northern parts, inland central
parts and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 11 May
Possible light shower south of a line Lancelin to Kellerberrin to Esperance,
with the chance of thunderstorms in eastern parts. Windy morning over northern
parts of the State. Morning fog possible over western and central inland parts
of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 12 May
Possible showers southwest of Jurien Bay to Hopetoun. Slight chance of a
thunderstorm about the South West Capes.

Forecast for Monday 13 May
Possible showers over the far west of the State.
