Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies near the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts which will push
offshore on Wednesday or Thursday as a ridge strengthens southeast of the State.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge and high pressure system well south of the State will dominate the
weather pattern. Another trough develops off the west coast on Wednesday and
deepens on Thursday. A strong cold front will cross the west coast during
Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 7 May
Showers and thunderstorms over the far southeast Gascoyne, far eastern Central
Wheat Belt, Goldfields and adjacent western South Interior, clearing later in
the day.

Forecast for Wednesday 8 May
Mostly sunny. Windy morning over the Central West, inland Gascoyne and northern
Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 9 May
Mostly sunny with cloud increasing over southwestern parts of the State. Windy
morning over northern and western parts of the State.

Forecast for Friday 10 May
Showers extending over northern and western parts of the South West Land
Division and the southwest coastal Gascoyne. Showers expected to be most
widespread over the Lower West and Southwest districts. Possible thunderstorms
southwest of Geraldton to Albany.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
