Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies near the Pilbara coast. A strong ridge of high pressure is
extending over southern WA and will bring a southeasterly wind surge to
northern WA from Tuesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong ridge of high pressure is moving over the southwest of the State and
will extend east into the Bight over the next few days. A broad trough will
develop offshore from the west coast on Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 23 April
Cloudy over southern districts with light showers about the Eucla coast. Mostly
sunny for the remainder of the State. Windy over central parts as well as the
Eucla, Central West and Lower West, including the Perth hills and foothills.

Forecast for Wednesday 24 April
Light showers about the south and Eucla coasts. Mostly sunny for the remainder
of the State. Windy over central and northern parts of the State, and along the
Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Thursday 25 April
Light showers about the south and Eucla coasts. Windy over central and northern
parts of the State, and along the Darling Scarp. Chance of a shower or
thunderstorm in the southwest Gascoyne and adjacent Central West.

Forecast for Friday 26 April
Light showers along the Eucla coast. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over
the inland Gascoyne, Goldfields and northeastern parts of the South West Land
Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
