Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strengthening high pressure ridge to the south is pushing the surface trough
offshore the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts and bringing fresh southeasterly
winds over northern parts.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad trough lies off the west coast and will remain there through much of
the week. A high pressure ridge lies south of the State with a high pressure
system to move into the Bight later today and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 17 April
Chance of thunderstorms with little to no rainfall over the southwestern
Gascoyne and adjacent northern Central West district. Morning fog possible over
the South Coastal and western South East Coastal districts. Windy over the
Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and North Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 18 April
Dry conditions persisting across much of the State, apart from the chance of a
shower over the northern Kimberley coast and along the Eucla coast. Morning fog
possible over the Eucla. Windy over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and North
Interior.
Forecast for Friday 19 April
Mostly sunny and dry conditions persisting across much of the State, apart from
the chance of a coastal shower over the northern Kimberley. Windy over the
Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and North Interior.
Forecast for Saturday 20 April
Mostly sunny and dry conditions persisting across the State. Windy over the
Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and North Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
