Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the Pilbara and Kimberley. From Wednesday, the trough will
move back offshore as another high pressure ridge strengthens to the south of
the State.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad trough lies off the west coast and will remain there through much of
the week. A high ridge lies south of the State with a high pressure system to
move into the Bight later Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 16 April
Dry conditions persisting across the State. Morning fog possible over the
southern South West, South Coastal and South East Coastal districts.
Forecast for Wednesday 17 April
Chance of thunderstorms with little to no rainfall over the southwestern
Gascoyne and adjacent northern Central West district. Morning fog possible over
the South Coastal district. Windy over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and North
Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 18 April
Dry conditions persisting across much of the State, apart from the chance of a
coastal shower over the northern Kimberley. Morning fog possible over the
Eucla. Windy over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and North Interior.
Forecast for Friday 19 April
Dry conditions persisting across much of the State, apart from the chance of a
coastal shower over the northern Kimberley. Windy over the Kimberley, Pilbara,
Gascoyne and North Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
