Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough near the Pilbara coast extends into the Kimberley.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system in the Bight is weakening and moving to the east. A new
high arriving in the Bight on Tuesday will maintain a ridge of high pressure to
the south of the state, while a trough will linger about the west coast this
week. Weak cold fronts will brush past the southwest coast later on Friday and
on the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 26 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the central and eastern Kimberley, and
northern and central Interior. Chance of a shower over the eastern Pilbara.
Chance of morning fog in the far southwest. Areas of smoke haze about the far
southwest.
Forecast for Wednesday 27 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over eastern and northern Kimberley, and
northern and central Interior. Chance of a shower over the eastern Pilbara.
Forecast for Thursday 28 March
Showers and thunderstorms over eastern and northern Kimberley, Interior and
adjacent Goldfields. Chance of a shower over the far eastern Pilbara and Eucla.
Forecast for Friday 29 March
Showers and thunderstorms over eastern and northern Kimberley, Interior,
adjacent Goldfields and Eucla. Chance of a shower over the far eastern Pilbara.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
