Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough will persist over the north of the State this week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is building south of the State. A broad trough lies near
the west coast, which will deepen over the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 29 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeast North Interior.
Heavy falls possible over the Kimberley. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm
with little or no rainfall over the central and eastern Pilbara, Interior,
eastern Gascoyne, eastern parts of the South West Land Division, western Eucla
and Goldfields. Very hot over the Interior, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne and
northern Goldfields.
Forecast for Friday 1 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
Interior, Eucla, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, eastern parts of the South West
Land Division. Heavy falls possible over the Kimberley. Windy in the morning
about the southern parts, including the Darling Scarp. Very hot over the
central Interior, Pilbara and northern inland Gascoyne.
Forecast for Saturday 2 March
Showers and thunderstorms over most parts of the State. Windy in the morning
about the southern parts, including the Darling Scarp. Very hot over the inland
western Pilbara and inland Gascoyne.
Forecast for Sunday 3 March
Showers and thunderstorms over most parts of the State, increasing over the
South West Land Division with moderate to heavy falls possible. Very hot over
the inland western Pilbara and inland Gascoyne. Windy in the morning about the
southern parts, including the Darling Scarp.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
