Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough of low pressure lies over inland parts of northern WA. A ridge
extends into the Pilbara and is expected to push the trough northward closer to
the Pilbara coast today, resulting in fresher east to southeasterly surges
during the morning through southern parts of the region.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge will continue to strengthen over southern parts of the State. A high
moves into the Southern Ocean and a new trough develops down the west coast
from today.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 6 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Possible showers and
storms, mainly in the afternoon and evening over the central and eastern
Pilbara and northern parts of the Interior. Fresh and gusty winds in the
morning over the inland Pilbara, Gascoyne, Interior, Central West, and northern
Goldfields. Possible early morning fog about the South and Southeast Coastal
districts. Tending warmer over western parts of the South West Land Division.
Very hot over the inland west Pilbara and inland west Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 7 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Possible showers and
storms, mainly in the afternoon and evening, over the Pilbara and northern
parts of the Interior. Fresh and gusty winds in the morning over the inland
Pilbara, Gascoyne, Interior, Central West and northern Goldfields. Very hot
over the inland west Pilbara, inland west Gascoyne and northern Central West
district.

Forecast for Thursday 8 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Possible showers and
storms, mainly in the afternoon and evening, over the eastern Pilbara and
northern parts of the Interior Fresh and gusty winds in the morning over the
inland Pilbara, Gascoyne, Interior, Central West and northern Goldfields. Very
hot over the inland west Pilbara, inland west Gascoyne, Central West and
northern Lower West district.

Forecast for Friday 9 February
Chance of showers and gusty thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over
much of the Kimberley and Pilbara. Fresh and gusty winds in the morning over
the inland Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, and Interior. Very hot over the
inland west Pilbara, west Gascoyne, Central West, Lower West, and South West
districts.
