Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies inland of the Pilbara coast and into the southern Kimberley. A strong ridge of high pressure will develop over the Western Pilbara later Sunday and extend east during Monday and Tuesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front is brushing the south coast with a ridge of high pressure will develop in its wake later Sunday and on Monday. A deep trough will develop over eastern parts on Wednesday as a cold front moves through the South West Land Division with the trough over eastern parts deepening further on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 21 October
Showers southwest of a line from Geraldton to Israelite Bay, contracting to coastal parts during the evening. Showers and thunderstorms possible over the north and east Kimberley and far northeast Interior during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Monday 22 October
Showers near the south coast. Morning showers possible near the west coast south of Lancelin in the morning. Showers and thunderstorms possible over the northern and eastern Kimberley during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 23 October
Light showers in coastal areas of the southwest between Cape Naturaliste and Albany. Showers and thunderstorms possible over the northern and eastern Kimberley during the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Wednesday 24 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms near the SW Capes, extending through mainly central and western parts of the South West Land Division. Showers and thunderstorms possible over the southeastern Goldfields, South East Coastal district and western Eucla in the afternoon and evening. Showers and thunderstorms possible in the eastern Kimberley and Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 25 October
Morning showers near the Gascoyne coast, Central West coast and Lower West coast. Showers over near coastal parts of the South Coastal district. Showers and thunderstorms possible over the Goldfields, Interior, Eucla and far eastern parts of the South West Land Division and northeast Kimberley.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Monday.
