Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough extends from the western Pilbara through the North
Interior. The trough will move closer to the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts on
Wednesday and Thursday as a high moves south of WA.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies south of the State and a high will move into the Bight on
Wednesday. A west coast trough will persist for the next few days before moving
inland on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 31 January
Showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over most of the
Kimberley, the Pilbara, northwest Interior and far northern Gascoyne. Windy
over central parts of the State. Very hot through the inland Kimberley, north
and west Pilbara, western Gascoyne, and much of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 1 February
Chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the
north and west Kimberley, Pilbara and northern Gascoyne. Windy over central
parts of the State, mainly in the morning. Very hot through the inland
Kimberley, Pilbara, western Gascoyne, and much of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 2 February
Chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the
north and west Kimberley, Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne. Very hot through the
inland Kimberley, Pilbara, western Gascoyne, and much of the South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Saturday 3 February
Chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the
central and northern Kimberley. Chance of showers over the South Coastal and
South East Coastal districts. Windy along coastal areas, mainly in the
afternoon. Very hot over much of the northern and central districts, warm over
the South West Land Division.
