Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A deep tropical low over the far eastern Pilbara is expected to track west or
southwest, into the Pilbara this evening. The tropical low may become slow
moving over the central Pilbara on Wednesday and potentially dissipate into a
trough on Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak, broad trough over the northern Goldfields and South interior districts,
moving northward on Thursday. A ridge is building across southern WA from the
west. A trough will form along the west coast from Friday, deepening on
Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 24 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, most parts of the Pilbara,
Interior, central and eastern Gascoyne, northern and eastern Goldfields and
Eucla. Heavy falls possible through the eastern Pilbara and adjacent northeast
Gascoyne. Very hot over the western Pilbara, central Gascoyne, northern
Goldfields and inland northeast parts of Central West. Windy across Central
West, western Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara. Chance of morning fog about the
southern coastal districts west of Israelite Bay. Areas of raised dust across
the far northwest Gascoyne and Cape Range.

Forecast for Thursday 25 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, most parts of the Pilbara,
Interior, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla. Heavy falls possible across
central and southeastern parts. Very hot over the far southwest Pilbara,
western inland Gascoyne and inland northeast parts of Central West. Windy
across the Central West, western Gascoyne and southwest Pilbara. Areas of
raised dust across the far northwest Gascoyne and Cape Range.

Forecast for Friday 26 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne,
northern Goldfields and northern Eucla. Heavy falls possible over the southern
Pilbara, inland northern Gascoyne and northwest South Interior. Very hot over
the far southwest Pilbara, western Gascoyne and inland northeast parts of
Central West.

Forecast for Saturday 27 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, Gascoyne and
far northern Goldfields Very hot over the far western Gascoyne and inland
northeast parts of Central West.
