Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough remains over the inland Pilbara and southern Kimberley. A
tropical low over the Northern Territory is expected to move west over the
eastern Kimberley during Sunday night and Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge of high pressure lies south of the State. A broad trough sits just
inland from the west coast and will move east on Monday as a stronger ridge
pushes in from the west.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 20 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, possibly heavy at times
over the eastern Kimberley. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the eastern
Pilbara and North Interior. Very hot over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields,
Interior and far northern parts of the South West Land Division.

Fire Danger:
Extreme Fire Danger is forecast for the Ashburton Coast fire weather district.

Forecast for Sunday 21 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, possibly heavy at times
over the central and eastern Kimberley. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over
the Pilbara and North Interior and over far eastern parts of the South West
Land Division. Very hot over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior and
far inland northern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 22 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, heavy at times. Chance of a
shower or thunderstorm over the central and eastern Pilbara, North Interior,
and northeastern parts of the South Interior. Very hot over the Pilbara,
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior and far inland northern parts of the South West
Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 23 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior and eastern
Pilbara, possibly heavy at times. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the
central Pilbara, South Interior and northeastern Goldfields. Very hot over the
Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields and Interior.
