Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough will persist over inland Kimberley and Pilbara. A monsoon trough
is forming through the Timor Sea and a weak tropical low may form in the Joseph
Bonaparte Gulf in the next day or so. The tropical low may develop further on
the weekend if it remains over water.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge will remain south of the State for the remainder of the
week. A trough from the Gascoyne to the Eucla is moving east. Another trough
will develop near the west coast on Thursday and remain slow moving until early
next week.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 11 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and southeastern parts of
the South West Land Division and western Eucla. Possible thunderstorms with
little or no rainfall over the western Interior, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne,
northern inland parts of the South West Land Division and Goldfields. Very hot
over the southern Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, inland northern parts of the
South West Land Division, Goldfields, Interior and inland Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 12 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, most parts of the South West Land Division, and Goldfields. Heavy
falls possible over northern Kimberley. Very hot over the southern Kimberley,
Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, inland Central West, Lower West, eastern Goldfields,
Interior and inland Eucla.

Forecast for Saturday 13 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and far northeastern
Interior, possibly heavy at times over northern Kimberley. Chance of a shower
or thunderstorm over the eastern Gascoyne, central and eastern Pilbara, most
parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields and Interior. Very hot over
the southwest Kimberley, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, western parts of the South
West Land Division, northern Goldfields, Interior and inland Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 14 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, possibly heavy at times
over the northern Kimberley. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the
eastern Gascoyne, central and eastern Pilbara, most parts of the South West
Land Division, Goldfields, and Interior. Very hot over the far southwest
Kimberley, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, western and northern parts of the South
West Land Division, northern Goldfields and western Interior.
