Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough will persist over inland Kimberley and Pilbara over the weekend
and next week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies to the south of the state. A trough will deepen down
the west coast over the weekend and move inland on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 6 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over much of the Kimberley, far eastern
Pilbara, Interior and far eastern Eucla. Showers or drizzle over southern
coastal districts east of Albany, southeastern Goldfields, and Eucla. Very hot
over the southern Kimberley, inland Pilbara, western Gascoyne and adjacent
Central West.
Forecast for Sunday 7 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, and far
eastern Pilbara. Showers or drizzle over Eucla and south coast. Very hot over
the southern Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, inland Central West and northern
parts of Lower West.
Forecast for Monday 8 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior and eastern
Pilbara. Showers or drizzle over coastal parts of the Eucla. Very hot over the
southern Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and inland parts of the South West Land
Division. Windy over central and southwest parts.
Forecast for Tuesday 9 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior and eastern
Pilbara. Showers or drizzle about the south coast west of of Bremer Bay. Very
hot over the southern Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Interior, inland
northern parts of the South West Land Division, and northern Goldfields. Windy
over southwestern parts.
