Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough will persist over inland Kimberley and Pilbara during the
weekend and in to next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge located to the south of the State will weaken temporarily today
before strengthening again over the weekend. A trough in the vicinity of the
west coast will shift inland on Saturday, before redeveloping down the west
coast on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 22 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, central and
eastern Pilbara and far northeast Gascoyne. Chance of thunderstorms with little
or no rainfall over southern Interior, far southeast Goldfields and Eucla.
Chance of a thunderstorm in the far southwest, light showers about the southern
coastal districts. Very hot over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, inland
Gascoyne and northern Goldfields. Windy across central districts, and across
Darling Scarp in the morning. Chance of morning fog over inland northern parts
of Central West and adjacent Gascoyne.

Forecast for Saturday 23 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and Interior. Very hot over the Kimberley,
Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Interior, northeast Gascoyne and far northern
Goldfields. Windy across central and southeastern districts.

Forecast for Sunday 24 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, inland Gascoyne,
and northern Interior. Light showers about the south coast. Very hot over the
Kimberley, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, northern Interior, inland Central West and
adjacent Lower West. Windy across central and southwest districts.

Forecast for Monday 25 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley. Chance of thunderstorms with
little or no rainfall over eastern Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, western Interior,
western Goldfields and inland parts of the South Wet Land Division. Light
showers about the south coast. Very hot over the Kimberley, Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, northern Interior, far northern Goldfields and inland parts of the
South West Land Division. Windy across central and southwest districts.
