Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong high pressure system south of the State extends a firm ridge through
nearly the entire State. A trough over the Kimberley will contract to the north
coast today as the southeasterly surge extends over southern and central
Kimberley. The ridge will weaken from Tuesday, allowing the trough to move back
inland over the Kimberley and the Pilbara later in the week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high south of the State extends a firm ridge through all of southern
and central WA, bringing fresh and gusty east to southeasterly winds to most
areas. The ridge will begin to gradually weaken from later today as a low
pressure system arrives near the Eucla coast from the east. A trough is also
developing down the west coast and will move offshore today, before moving back
inland later on Tuesday ahead of the next ridge of high pressure.
