Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure will persist over the northern districts this
weekend and into next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge lies south of the State. A trough near the west coast is moving
east and will slowly move across the South West Land Division on Saturday as a
new ridge pushes in. The trough will move to the Goldfields on Sunday. A couple
of very weak cold fronts will brush the southwest coast on Saturday and on
Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 2 December
Showers and isolated thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley during the
afternoon and evening. Chance of dry thunderstorms over the southeast Pilbara,
northeast Gascoyne and Interior. Chance of a light shower about the southwest
coast in the evening. Very hot over the inland South West Land Division and the
Kimberley. Windy through central parts in the morning.

Forecast for Sunday 3 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and adjacent North Interior,
mainly during the afternoon and evening. Chance of a light shower southwest of
Busselton and Denmark. Very hot over the Kimberley, southwest Pilbara, eastern
Goldfields and adjacent Eucla. Windy across Eucla.

Forecast for Monday 4 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeastern parts of the
Interior. Chance of dry thunderstorms over central and southern Interior. Light
showers possible southwest of Margaret River to Albany. Very hot over the
Kimberley, southwest Pilbara, northern Goldfields, northern Gascoyne and South
Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 5 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, northern Goldfields,
far eastern Goldfields and far eastern Pilbara. Light showers over Eucla,
southern Goldfields and South East Coastal. Very hot over northern and central
parts of the state.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
