Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over northern districts, moving further inland next week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough near the west coast and a ridge south of the State will dominate the
weather pattern, with the ridge strengthening over the weekend. On Monday the
trough will begin to move inland and be over the Goldfields and eastern South
West Land Division on Tuesday, with cooler conditions over western parts of the
state.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 26 November
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening, over the
Kimberley, north Interior, and eastern Pilbara. Chance of an afternoon or
evening gusty thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over the inland Central
West, far inland northern Lower West and adjacent Central Wheat Belt districts.
Chance of a light shower along the south coast east of Esperance, mostly during
the morning. Windy in the morning through central parts of the state and over
most northern and western parts of the South West Land Division. Damaging wind
gusts possible about the hills and foothills in the Lower West and northern
South West districts in the morning. Very hot over most of the western
districts.
Forecast for Monday 27 November
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening, over the
Kimberley, far northeastern Pilbara and far northeastern North Interior. Chance
of showers and thunderstorms developing over most parts of the South West Land
Division. Light falls expected. Windy in the morning through central parts of
the state and over most parts of the South West Land Division away from the
Central West district. Temperatures easing over western parts.
Forecast for Tuesday 28 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern Gascoyne,
Goldfields and over most of the South West Land Division, inland from the west
coast. Chance of showers near the west coast. Light falls expected. Windy over
southeastern parts of the state. Milder temperatures over the western South
West Land Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 29 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, eastern Gascoyne,
Goldfields and over eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of
light showers near the west coast and remaining southern districts. Windy over
southeastern parts of the state. Mild temperatures continuing over the western
South West Land Division.
