Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough extends from the Northern Interior to the northern
Gascoyne. During Friday and Saturday, this trough should slowly move northwards
to be over the inland Pilbara and southern Kimberley, as a high pressure ridge
strengthens to the south.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure trough near the west coast and a high pressure ridge to the
south will dominate the weather pattern for several days.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 17 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the eastern South Interior and east Eucla.
Showers and gusty thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening, over the
northern and eastern Kimberley, eastern Northern Interior and northern South
Interior. Fresh and gusty winds in the morning across the Scarp and through
central parts of the State. Very hot over inland western and central parts of
the Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 18 November
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening, over the
northern and eastern Kimberley, and central and east Interior. Windy in the
morning through central parts. Temperatures warming down the west coast. Very
hot over the inland western and central parts of the Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 19 November
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening, over the
northern and eastern Kimberley, and northern parts of the Interior. Windy in
the morning through central parts of the state. Temperatures continuing to warm
down the west coast. Very hot over western and central parts of the Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 20 November
Showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening, over the
northern and eastern Kimberley, northern and central parts of the Interior, and
northern Goldfields. Windy in the morning through central parts of the state.
Temperatures continuing to warm down the west coast. Very hot over western and
central parts of the Kimberley.
