Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure will remain slow moving over the Kimberley and
Pilbara this weekend and next week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm high pressure ridge south of the State will slowly move east this
weekend. A trough deepening down the west coast will bring another warm to hot
and windy day to the South West Land Division today. The trough will move
inland on Sunday, followed by a cooler southwest flow that will extend across
southwest WA early next week.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 4 November
Isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over
the Kimberley and northern Interior. Chance of a thunderstorm with little or no
rainfall over inland Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, western Goldfields and across
much of the South West Land Division. Very hot over the north of the State, the
Central West, Lower West and South West districts. Warm to hot across the
remaining parts of the South West Land Division. Windy over the southern
Gascoyne, Central West and Lower West districts. Morning fog about the Gascoyne
coast and adjacent Central West.
Forecast for Sunday 5 November
Isolated showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening over the
Kimberley. Chance of a thunderstorm or shower with little or no rainfall over
the northeastern Interior, eastern Gascoyne, far southeast Pilbara, Goldfields,
and eastern and southern parts of the South West Land Division. A light shower
possible on the west coast. Very hot over the north of the State, Gascoyne, and
Central Wheat Belt, milder about the west coast. Morning fog about the Gascoyne
coast and western parts of Central West.
Forecast for Monday 6 November
Showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the Kimberley,
Interior, Goldfields, northwest Eucla and southeastern parts of the South West
Land Division. Possible light shower over the southwest and west coasts. Very
hot over the north of the State and Interior.
Forecast for Tuesday 7 November
Showers and thunderstorms, mostly afternoon and evening, over the Kimberley,
Interior, southeast Goldfields, Eucla and eastern parts of South East Coastal
district. Light showers over the southwest and west coasts. Very hot over the
north of the State and Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
