Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge to the southeast is pushing a surface trough towards the
Kimberley and Pilbara coasts. A new high pressure ridge developing over
southern WA will bring fresh and gusty southerly winds to western Pilbara
today. The surface trough will move inland again over the weekend as the ridges
weaken and move east.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A north-south trough over the Goldfields and South East Coastal district is
being pushed east by a high pressure ridge. This ridge will continue to extend
over southern parts of the state today and Saturday. A weak cold front will
brush the south coast during Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 27 October
Possible afternoon shower or thunderstorm over the southwestern Kimberley.
Chance of a thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over the southeastern
Pilbara, southern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, west Interior and northern
Eucla. Light showers over southern coastal districts. Very hot temperatures
across northern and central parts of the State. Windy morning over most of the
state.

Forecast for Saturday 28 October
Chance of a thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over the inland eastern and
central Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, north and east Goldfields, western and
southern Interior and inland Eucla. Very hot temperatures across northern and
central parts of the State. Windy morning over central and northeastern parts
of the state.

Forecast for Sunday 29 October
Showers developing south of a line from Mandurah to Israelite Bay. Chance of a
thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over the southeastern Pilbara,
northeast Gascoyne, north and east Goldfields, southwest Interior and inland
Eucla. Very hot temperatures across northern and central parts of the State.

Forecast for Monday 30 October
Possible light showers along the south coast. Chance of a thunderstorm with
little or no rainfall over the western Interior. Windy morning over the
Goldfields and South Interior.
