Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low pressure trough extending from the Pilbara to the North Interior will
maintain mostly lighter winds for the north of the State for the next few days.
From Thursday, the low pressure trough will be pushed north over the Kimberley
by a high pressure ridge to the south.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front will move over the south of the State today and Wednesday, and
will be followed by a strong high pressure ridge. The high pressure ridge will
then dominate the weather pattern through to at least the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 15 August
Showers southwest of line from Lancelin to Bremer bay, extending to be
southwest of Geraldton to Israelite Bay by midnight. Possible morning fog over
inland northern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 16 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, southwestern Gascoyne, southern
Goldfields, southern Interior, and Eucla districts.
Forecast for Thursday 17 August
Showers over the southwestern and southern parts of the South West Land
Division, and along the eastern Eucla coast.
Forecast for Friday 18 August
Showers south of a line from about Bunbury to Eucla, most likely about the
south coast. Morning fog patches over the the inland Lower West, South West,
Central Wheat Belt, and Great Southern.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
