Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak surface trough lies over northern parts of the State with lighter winds
expected to continue into the early part of the week. However expect fresher
winds at times over the western Pilbara on Monday and Tuesday as a new high
pressure ridge pushes across the mid west coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure trough extends from the Gascoyne into the South Interior, moving
eastwards. Meanwhile, a high pressure system south of the State will move
eastwards during the remainder of the weekend. A cold front will begin to move
over southwest parts of the state on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 13 August
Showers and patchy rain over eastern parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and Eucla, contract southeast and clearing during the day.
Chance of a thunderstorm over the southeast Goldfields and eastern Eucla,
clearing during the day. Showers about coastal parts between Shark Bay and
Bremer Bay, clearing north of Cape Naturaliste and east of Albany during the
afternoon. Patches of morning fog over inland western parts of the South West
Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 14 August
Showers southwest of a line Lancelin to Albany. Possible isolated showers over
the Eucla, eastern Goldfields, and southern Interior. Possible morning fog over
inland parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 15 August
Showers southwest of Lancelin to Bremer bay and extending to Geraldton to
Esperance by midnight. Possible morning fog over inland northern parts of the
South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 16 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, and Eucla
districts.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
