Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak surface trough lies over northern parts of the State with lighter winds
expected to continue in to the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure trough extends from the Gascoyne coast southeast into inland
parts of the state. During Friday and Saturday, the southern portion of the
trough is forecast to move further north over the central parts of the State,
being pushed by a weak cold front brushing the south coast on Friday followed
by a high pressure system moving into the Bight.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 11 August
Showers and patchy rain southwest of a line from Shark Bay to Eucla, though
more likely over the Central Wheat Belt, southern Goldfields, and South East
Coastal districts. Possible morning fog over inland southwestern parts of the
South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 12 August
Showers and patchy rain southwest of a line from Carnarvon to Eucla, though
more likely over the eastern Central Wheat Belt, southern Goldfields, eastern
South East Coastal district, west Eucla, and along the south coast.

Forecast for Sunday 13 August
Showers and patchy rain over eastern parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and Eucla, contract southeast and clearing during the day.
Chance of a thunderstorm over the far southeast Goldfields and eastern Eucla,
clearing during the day. Showers about coastal parts between Shark Bay and
Bremer Bay, clearing north of Cape Naturaliste and east of Albany during the
afternoon. Possible morning fog over inland parts of the South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Monday 14 August
Showers southwest of a line Lancelin to Albany. Possible morning fog over
inland parts of the South West Land Division.
