Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving over the south of the State today. On Friday
and Saturday, expect lighter winds across the north of the State under the
influence of a weak pressure gradient.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure trough located offshore from the west coast is expected to move
over the southwest of the State today. During Friday and Saturday, the trough
is forecast to move further north over the central parts of the State, being
pushed by a high pressure system moving into the Bight.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 10 August
Showers developing over most parts of the South West Land Division,
southwestern Goldfields and far western Eucla. Morning frost and fog areas
possible over inland southern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 11 August
Showers southwest of a line from Shark Bay to Eucla, though more likely over
the Central Wheat Belt, southern Goldfields, and South East Coastal districts.

Forecast for Saturday 12 August
Showers southwest of a line from Carnarvon to Eucla, though more likely over
the eastern South West Land Division and southern Goldfields.

Forecast for Sunday 13 August
Showers over most parts of the South West Land Division, though more likely
over eastern parts, and also over the southern Goldfields and Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
