Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over central parts of the State and will slowly
move south over the weekend.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies over central parts of the State and will track
slowly south over the weekend. Weak cold fronts will move along the south coast
during Friday evening and Saturday morning. A high will form in the Bight on
Monday then move east quickly as a strong cold front approaches from the west
late Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 29 July
Showers across the South West Land Division, more widespread in the Lower West,
South West and South Coastal Districts. Areas of frost in the morning through
the eastern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and southwestern South Interior.
Areas of fog across the inland Central West and western Gascoyne.
Forecast for Sunday 30 July
Isolated showers across the South West Land Division, tending widespread in the
Lower West and through southern districts. Areas of frost in the morning
through the southeast Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and western South Interior.
Areas of fog over inland parts of the Central West and Lower West, western
parts of the Central Wheat Belt and the southwest Gascoyne.
Forecast for Monday 31 July
Light showers mostly across southwestern parts of the South West Land Division.
Areas of frost in the morning through the southeast Gascoyne, southwest
Goldfields and eastern Central Wheat Belt. Areas of fog over the Great
Southern, inland parts of the Lower West and South West, western parts of the
Central Wheat Belt and through the Eucla District.
Forecast for Tuesday 1 August
Showers over the South West District, increasing and extending to the Lower
West coast during the afternoon and evening.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
