Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is developing over central parts of the State which will
bring an east to southeast flow over the Pilbara and Kimberley from today.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold and gusty, showery westerly flow will continue over the south of the
State for the remainder of the week, with a series of embedded cold fronts
brushing the south coast. Meanwhile, a ridge developing through the Gascoyne
will slowly move south to be over northern parts of the South West Land
Division by the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 6 July
Showers over western parts of the South West Land Division and along the south
coast. Showers most likely near coastal parts. Light falls. Chance of morning
frost over the inland Gascoyne, northeast Great Southern, eastern Central Wheat
Belt and north and west Goldfields.
Forecast for Friday 7 July
Showers over southwest parts of the South West Land Division, south of Jurien
Bay and along the Esperance coast. Light falls. Morning fog possible over the
inland northern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of morning frost
over the inland Gascoyne, northern Central Wheat Belt, northeast Central West
district, northern Goldfields and South Interior.
Forecast for Saturday 8 July
Showers over southwest parts of the South West Land Division, south of Jurien
Bay and along the Esperance coast. Light falls. Morning fog possible over the
inland northern and western parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of
morning frost over the eastern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and South Interior.
Forecast for Sunday 9 July
Showers over southwest parts of the South West Land Division, south of Jurien
Bay. Morning fog possible over the inland western parts of the South West Land
Division and Eucla. Chance of morning frost over the northern Goldfields and
South Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
