Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure lies over the Pilbara and Kimberley. A high
pressure ridge will then develop to the south on Tuesday and Wednesday with a
surge of southeasterly winds over the Pilbara, North Interior and southwest
Kimberley. An unseasonal cloud band is also developing over the eastern
Pilbara, Kimberley and Interior which will become more active and widespread
from Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Gascoyne and into the Goldfields. A new ridge
will develop across the Southern Ocean on Monday and Tuesday, pushing a
southeasterly change northwards and contracting the trough eastwards and out of
the state by the middle of the week.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 26 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern and coastal Gascoyne,
Goldfields and western Eucla, more frequent about the south coast and tending
to rain about eastern parts of the South West Land Division and southern
Goldfields. Rain and showers over the eastern Pilbara, western and southern
Kimberley and Interior. Chance of thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley
and southern Goldfields. Heavy falls possible over the northeast Interior.
Possible small hail over the southern and inland parts of the South West Land
Division. Chance of morning frost over the inland northern Southwest, northwest
Great Southern and southeast Lower West districts. Possible snow flurries in
the morning about the Stirling ranges.

Forecast for Tuesday 27 June
Showers over eastern and southern parts of the South West Land Division, far
southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla, more frequent about the south coast
and southern Goldfields. Rain and showers over the far eastern Pilbara,
Kimberley and Interior. Chance of thunderstorms over the northern and eastern
Kimberley. Heavy falls possible through the northeastern Interior and central
and southeast Kimberley. Chance of morning frost over the inland Gascoyne,
inland parts of the South West Land Division and far northern Goldfields.

Forecast for Wednesday 28 June
Showers over far southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, Eucla and southeast South Interior. Rain and showers easing over
the Kimberley and Northeast Interior. Chance of thunderstorms over the northern
Kimberley. Chance of morning frost over the far southeast Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, inland South West Land Division and western Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 29 June
Possible showers over far southern parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields, Eucla and southeast South Interior. Rain and showers
possibly increasing over the Kimberley and Northeast Interior. Chance of
morning frost over the far southeast Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, inland South
West Land Division and western Interior.
