Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low pressure trough and associated northwest cloud band lies across the
Kimberley, slowly moving east while dissipating this morning. Meanwhile, a high
pressure ridge is intensifying over central parts of the State.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure system continues to brush eastward across the Eucla coast this
morning. Another cold front is expected to approach southwestern WA on later
this afternoon and evening, moving across the broader parts of southern WA
during Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 22 June
Showers over the Eucla and South East Coastal Districts in the morning, easing
later in the day. Showers also over coastal parts of the South West Land
Division, extending to a line from Jurien Bay to Esperance by the late evening.
Chance of thunderstorms along the Eucla coast in the morning, and along the
south coast in the afternoon and evening. A band of morning showers possible,
extending from the northwest Kimberley into southeast parts. Possible morning
frost over the inland Gascoyne, northern Central Wheat Belt and northern and
western Goldfields. Possible morning fog through the Kimberly district and
inland parts of the Central West district.

Forecast for Friday 23 June
Showers southwest of a line from Shark Bay to Leonora to Eyre, with showers
more frequent over southern parts. Possible thunderstorms near the south coast.
Possible small hail over southern parts of the South West Land Division.
Possible morning frost over the southeast Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, far
northern Goldfields, and Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 24 June
Showers over most of the South West Land Division but most frequent about the
west and south coasts. Possible small hail along the south coast. Possible
morning frost over the far southeast Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and northern
South Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 25 June
Showers over most of the South West Land Division, particularly the south coast
and western parts. Possible frost over the inland Gascoyne, northern Goldfields
and South Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
