Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Generally lighter winds are causing somewhat warmer day time temperatures and
more humid conditions about coastal locations across the Kimberley and Pilbara.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A moderate cold front will sweep through the southwest during Sunday, followed
by a much stronger cold front on Monday and Tuesday. A showery, vigorous
westerly flow will then continue well into next week across the southern parts
of WA.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 4 June
Showers throughout the far South West, extending to south and west of a line
from Kalbarri to Esperance by Sunday evening. Chance of gusty thunderstorms
about the southwest coast. Early coastal showers east of Esperance. Chance of
morning fog over the South East Coastal district. Becoming windy over eastern
parts of the Great Southern, South Coastal and about the southwest coast.
Forecast for Monday 5 June
Showers over Cape Range in the Pilbara, southern and western Gascoyne,
southwest Goldfields and South West Land Division, more frequent over the
western coastal districts. Gusty thunderstorms with possible heavy falls about
the western coastal districts south of Jurien Bay. Windy over the southern
parts of the State.
Forecast for Tuesday 6 June
Showers over Cape Range in the Pilbara , southern and western Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Eucla and South West Land Division, more frequent over the western
coastal districts. Chance of gusty thunderstorms over the Lower West, South
West, and coastal parts of the South Coastal districts. Possible small hail
over the far southwest of the State. Windy over the southern parts of the State.
Forecast for Wednesday 7 June
Showers over the South West Land Division, contracting to the west and south
coasts during the morning. Showers also possible over the Gascoyne coast, south
of Shark Bay,
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
