Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends from the Kimberley west coast to the Pilbara coast and
down the Gascoyne coast. A high pressure ridge building across central
Australia will push the trough offshore off the central and east Pilbara and
Kimberley coasts in the mornings.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is strengthening eastward along the south coast with a
weak surface trough developing down the west coast. The ridge and trough will
move eastwards today, ahead of a weak cold front brushing the south coast later
in the day. A new ridge of high pressure will form south of the state on
Friday. Another trough will deepen in the vicinity of the west coast with a low
pressure system forming on Friday. A cloud band associated with this trough
will extend across the western and southern parts of the state over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 4 May
