Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Kimberley and Pilbara. A tropical low is forecast
to move west over waters offshore from the north Kimberley coast from Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is building over southwestern parts of the State behind a
low pressure system moving east over offshore waters from the south coast,
expected to be located in Bight waters later today. The ridge will continue to
push east over southern parts of the State today, moving south on Friday as a
surface trough forms down the west coast. The ridge will strengthen over the
weekend with a high pressure centre moving south of the state over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 6 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern
Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, and North Interior. Showers over the southern
coastal districts and near the Eucla coast. Possible morning fog over inland
southwestern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 7 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern
Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, and northern and western parts
of the Interior. Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over western and
central parts of the South West Land Division south of Lancelin, with showers
over remaining parts of the South West Land Division south of a line Lancelin
to Dalwallinu to Paynes Find, and also over the remaining Goldfields and
eastern Eucla. Possible morning fog over inland central southern parts.

Forecast for Saturday 8 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern
Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, far northern Goldfields and western Interior.
Showers possible over the remaining eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, South
Interior, Eucla and southern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 9 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland central Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and western Interior. Possible light showers
about the south coast.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
