Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over northern parts of the State and is more active across
southern Pilbara.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough has moved inland over the South West Land Division and has become slow
moving. A weak ridge is developing near the west coast and will build across
the southwest on Tuesday. A weak front will approach the southwest coast on
Monday and deepen on Tuesday as it moves across the south coast, while a low
pressure system develops in the Bight.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 2 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields,
Kimberley, eastern parts of Central Wheat Belt, and northern and central
Interior. Possible showers over northeast Great Southern, southern Goldfields,
and southern coastal districts east Walpole.
Forecast for Monday 3 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Pilbara, northern and central
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, Kimberley, and northern and central Interior.
Showers over southern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance
of morning fog over southern coastal districts.
Forecast for Tuesday 4 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Kimberley, Interior, eastern parts of South East Coastal, and
Eucla. Showers over eastern, central and southern parts of the South West Land
Division, and southeast Gascoyne.
Forecast for Wednesday 5 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Pilbara, northern Gascoyne, Kimberley,
and northern and eastern Interior. Showers over southern coastal districts and
southern Goldfields.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
