Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak, slow moving trough lies over the inland Kimberley and Pilbara.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge is pushing in over the southwest corner of the State and will
extend along the south coast during Tuesday and Wednesday. A weak trough also
lies through central parts of the State. A cold front will move over the
southwest on Thursday morning, with a stronger ridge rapidly extending across
southern districts in the wake of the front.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 14 March
Isolated showers and gusty thunderstorms over northwestern parts of the
Kimberley.
Forecast for Wednesday 15 March
Isolated showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over the northern Kimberley.
Forecast for Thursday 16 March
Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley.
Showers developing over the Southwest, Lower West and South Coastal districts,
as well as adjacent parts of the Great Southern and Southeast Coastal districts.
Forecast for Friday 17 March
Isolated showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara and
northwest Interior during the afternoon and evening.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
