Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A tropical low lies north off the west Kimberley coast and a trough extends
from the low across the Kimberley coast and into the Pilbara. The low will move
east today, combining with another low over the far northeast Kimberley by
Tuesday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is strengthening over the south coast with a trough
deepening down the west coast which will remain there for the new week.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 26 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley with heavy falls possible
over northern parts, and becoming windy over the far north Kimberley coast.
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the far North Interior, Pilbara, and the
north and west Gascoyne. Chance of a thunderstorms over the far north Central
West District.
Forecast for Monday 27 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley with heavy falls possible in
northern parts, and windy about the far north Kimberley coast. Showers and
gusty thunderstorms over the North Interior, Pilbara, and northwest Gascoyne.
Windy over central parts in the morning.
Forecast for Tuesday 28 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley with heavy falls possible
over northern and eastern parts. Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the far
North Interior, Pilbara, and Gascoyne. Possible thunderstorms over the northern
Central West district. Windy over central and eastern parts. Hot to very hot
over west and northern parts of the South West Land Division.

Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley with heavy falls possible in
the far north and east. Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the far North
Interior, north and west Pilbara, west Gascoyne and northern Central West
district. Windy over central and eastern parts. Hot to very hot over west and
northern parts of the South West Land Division.
