Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure persists across the Pilbara, Kimberley and North
Interior.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over the far southeast of the State will cross into South Australia
during today, as a ridge of high pressure extends from the Indian Ocean and
strengthens along the south coast. A new, weak trough will develop over inland
parts of the South West Land Division on Thursday, most likely moving further
inland on the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 15 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over most of the Kimberley, Pilbara, far
northeast Gascoyne and the Interior. Light showers on the south coast west of
Israelite Bay. Very hot over eastern, central and northern parts of the State.
Forecast for Thursday 16 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara, and
eastern and northern parts of the Interior. Very hot over northern and central
parts of the State.
Forecast for Friday 17 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara and
northern parts of the Interior. Very hot over northern and central parts of the
State.
Forecast for Saturday 18 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and far northern
parts the Gascoyne. Very hot over northern and central parts of the State.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
