Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure persists across the Pilbara, Kimberley and North
Interior. The monsoon trough is strengthening to the north of the State.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lying through eastern parts of the State will move east as a weak cold
front brushes the southeast coast. In the wake of the front a new ridge will
move over the southwest of the State, strengthening and extending south of the
State during the weekend. A west coast trough will begin to develop on Saturday
and deepen on Sunday and Monday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 11 February
Showers and thunderstorms over much of the Kimberley and Pilbara, extending
southeast through the eastern Gascoyne, Interior, Goldfields and Eucla, mostly
during the afternoon and evening. Very hot over central and northern parts.

Forecast for Sunday 12 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and western and southern
Interior. Very hot over northern parts of the South West Land Division and
central and northern parts of the State.

Forecast for Monday 13 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley, Pilbara, far northeast
Gascoyne and western Interior. Very hot over northern parts of the South West
Land Division and central and northern parts of the State.

Forecast for Tuesday 14 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Pilbara and far
northern Gascoyne. Very hot over eastern parts of the South West Land Division
and central and northern parts of the State.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
