Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure lies over northern parts of the State. A ridge
strengthening to the south will bring a dry southeasterly surge into the inland
Kimberley, pushing the trough closer to the north coast, where it is expected
to lie into the early part of next week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system will move into the Bight during the weekend, and its
associated ridging will weaken across the southern part of WA. A deep trough
near the west coast will begin to move slowly inland this afternoon and
evening. The trough will continue to drift slowly eastward through the inland
South West Land Division on Monday and Tuesday as a new ridge strengthens
across the west coast and over the western part of the south coast.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 5 February
