Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure persists across the Pilbara, North Interior and
Kimberley.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extends from the Interior and into southern parts of the Northern
Territory. A firm ridge of high pressure lies to the south of the State and a
trough off the west coast. The ridge will move eastwards during today before
another develops to the southwest of the State on Tuesday, pushing the trough
further north.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 30 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern and central
Pilbara, northern parts of the Interior, Gascoyne, northern and central parts
of the South West Land Division. Heavy falls possible with thunderstorms over
the inland Central West, southeast Gascoyne and western Central Wheat Belt.
Very hot over inland parts of the Central West and Lower West districts.
Forecast for Tuesday 31 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern parts of
the Interior, Gascoyne, northern and central parts of the South West Land
Division and western Goldfields. Possible light showers about the south coastal
districts west of Esperance. Very hot over inland parts of Central West and
northern parts of Central Wheat Belt.
Forecast for Wednesday 1 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Northern Interior,
inland Gascoyne and inland northern parts of the Central West district. Windy
morning over the Lower West and adjacent districts. Very hot over the inland
northern Central West.
Forecast for Thursday 2 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and northwest
Gascoyne. Windy morning over the Lower West and adjacent districts. Very hot
over the Central West district.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
