Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure lies over the Kimberley and Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge of high pressure lies south of the State. A trough extending from
the central Gascoyne into western parts of the South West Land Division will
continue to move east to lie over the eastern Goldfields and eastern South East
Coastal district today and moving out of the State ob Thursday. Anew stronger
ridge of high pressure will develop along the south coast over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 11 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeast Interior. Chance of
thunderstorms with little or no rainfall over the southeast Goldfields, eastern
South East Coastal District and western Eucla. Slight chance of drizzle
extending east near the south coast. Very hot over the inland Pilbara, into the
Goldfields, Interior and inland Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 12 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeast Interior. Hot to
very hot throughout, away from the west and south coasts of the South West Land
Division.

Forecast for Friday 13 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Interior. Hot to very hot
throughout, away from the west and south coasts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 14 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, adjacent northeast
Gascoyne, and Interior. Showers over the South East Coastal District and Eucla.
Windy over southern and central parts. Hot to very hot over central and
northern parts of the state.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
