Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure persists over the Pilbara and Kimberley.
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Ellie is located just inland of Broome in the Kimberley and
is moving slowly in a westerly direction. The system may stall along the coast
near Broome on today and Thursday or move offshore from the west Kimberley
coast. If it were to move offshore there is a chance it may re-intensify into a
cyclone briefly, before curving back over land and moving into the Interior at
the end of the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge of high pressure extends across the southern parts of the state. A
trough has deepened off the west coast. The trough will move inland and along
the south coast on Friday ahead of the next ridge of high pressure.
