Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the inland Kimberley to the southeast of the State.
A ridge moving in along the south coast of the State will force the trough
north over the weekend to lie across the eastern Pilbara, southern Kimberley
and North Interior by Sunday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies through eastern parts of the State and is being forced northeast
as a ridge extends along the south coast. A weak cold front is moving along the
south coast. The ridge will strengthen and extend east over the weekend with a
west coast trough forming on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 10 December
Showers over southern coastal districts of the South West Land Division.
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the eastern Interior and north and east
Kimberley. Very hot over northern parts of the State.
Forecast for Sunday 11 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northeast Interior, northern and
eastern Kimberley. Light showers along the Esperance coast. Very hot over
northern parts of the State.
Forecast for Monday 12 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and North
Interior. Very hot over northern parts of the State.
Forecast for Tuesday 13 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and
Interior. Light showers along the south coast. Very hot across the Pilbara
district.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
